Would it be possible to add a feature that checks if blogs have been suspended, without posting. Just go to the blog's URL and check that.

"Not Working Blogs" - When are they Deleted?

I've been using this software for 6 months now and I still don't get it!

A blog is deleted from your database after 3 failed attempts at posting.

But after the first failed attempt the blog is marked as "not working" - and you can't post to that blog anymore - so how do you ever reach the 3 failed attempts mark so that the blog will be deleted from your database?

I thought I'd look for some new WPMU hosts as I've been having a pretty low success rate with the stock LFE ones.

I typed "Dating" into the search box and hit the search button. I got back 207,000 hits. I don't get it - am I supposed to spend the next 3 months paging thru the results?

Could someone please explain the workflow for using this function.

Running Multiple Campaigns?

I would like to run another LFE campaign for a different website, targeting different keywords but I don't want these blogs to get mixed up with my existing ones. This being said, I don't see a feature that will allow me to keep these campaigns separate. Should I install another instance on a different server?

Hi,

I have LFE for a few months and really havent been able to take full advantage of it because I can get it to work with proxies. I followed vvk advise over email to the letter (enabling relevant ports on my dv server etc)

For some reason nothing seems to get through.

Id appreciate if people who have LFE working can advise me

1. What servers they are using
2. What proxies they are using with those servers.
3. Anything extra they had to do to get it all working

I have about 15 of my own blogs in the LFE system for me to post on. All 15 of them have a post about buying wow gold that I didn't create. Anyone else see this? Obviously they hacked my WP install somewhere, I just don't know where in the line it happened.

100% Fail Rate on Pligg

I'm getting different dispositions including... Was unable to create a user at, Timed out, pligg returned error on story submit, unknown error prevented story submit, could not reach story submit page. Most of them were just timed out.

This was my first time to use the Pligg feature so maybe I just did something terribly wrong. I tried to put my link on 1000 and 0 made it successfully???? This is my 3rd attempt and each time I get the same result. I have a catchall email setup properly and I'm using proxies. What in the world is going on?

Hi, I found most blogs I want to scrape are using feedburner RSS.

for example, http://feeds.feedburner.com/JustAnotherIpadBlog

It looks perfect in my firefox.

But when I put

Hi there,

First i want to ask if my activated Blog rate is to low ? I registered 2000 Blogs and ended up with 300 ? is that normal ? I use Proxys and my own catch all emails.

And now my other Question is about how to Index them ? I try to use the Pligg Comments but it dont work for me someone shares his way to index them ? :)

Generally the Pligg Hosts have a use ? i dont get the clue how to use them... because the post rate ist > 10% and the links dont work most of the time....

i logged out just to see if it would help with blog creation, but when i tried to log back in all i see is the installation screen. i can't get past it.

i've even clicked the install button, but it just returns me to the install page again.

all the check marks are green it says. and also i have lfe hosted on hostgator, is that a "localhost"

Problems with Contentsources dir/"Generating preview..."

I recently installed LFE on my PC using AppServ (Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit).
Everything works fine (creating and posting of blogs, news posting/commenting and spinning) except for the fact that I cannot use any contenthooks.

As long as any php file - even if it's an empty file - is in the contentsources directory, the message "Generating preview..." keeps sticking when I click preview (even when I am not using hooks).

Do you have any idea why hooks do not work ?

Which is Better To Run LFE On - Home Computer OR VPS/Dedicated Server?

I've been running LFE for a month or so on a Hostgator shared account and it is is slow, slow, SLOW! After I've created 100 or so new blogs and I try to force my Cron job to run and I get a 500 Internal Server Error on the php page (http://mywebsite.com/lfe/blogs.php). The activations take quite awhile and I get a lot of blogs deleted from my database since it's taking so long to activate them. I think it all goes back to the Internal Server error...at least I think, I'm not positive on that...

So, I've decided to look into possibly running LFE on my home computer or a VPS/Dedicated hosting plan. I'm really leaning towards just running it on my home computer so I don't have to pay another monthly fee, and it just gives me more control over my database (backing it up should be easy) and LFE.

Here is my computer setup, which I think is adequate-

Intel Core i7 CPU, 2.67 GHz
9 GB of Ram
Windows 7, 64 bit system
DSL internet connection, but in the next few weeks will be getting a 25mbps up and down connection

I'd love to hear from people who have run LFE on their home computer and have hosted on a VPS/dedicated server. Which do you think is the best option? For the people who run LFE on your home computer, was it difficult to install? How smoothly does it run? For people who run LFE on a VPS/Dedicated, what is your setup and how has it worked?

Any advice, suggestions, etc. would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Please, check that error. When a post is "made" to a blog that was deleted by TUMBLR, LFE says "invalid credentials", but it's "green" and "successful"

hey guys.
i played with LFE for the last few days and i think it's time to take me to the next level.
i dont want to talk about the bad ratio, because most hosts just dont bring up the service and should be banned from the DB.

what is your first steps after the blog creation?

this is what i do after a creation run:

1. first thing is to call the cron.php by hand to speed up the email verification

2. i try to use the "clean up blog (delete everything and enable xmlrpc)"
then i get this error: "Unable to log into blog's dashboard" my /tmp folder is set to 777

3. then i try to post an article like "this is my first post and i love it" without any links
just to test the blogs. in this step 50% of the host turn broken becaufe LFE can not post to them or they just do not respond (because the owners of the host dont give a damn)

4. now i want to post some ninche article to drag the blogs into a direction

after all this, i want to bring up content with links to my targets.
any suggestions from you? can somebody help me with the #2 error pls?

where is the bottleneck on the server?
i played arround with the memory_limit of my php.ini but everything over 32mb just works, and did not speed up the system.

is there anything else i can modify on my server to give LFE more power?
i am running LFE on a full dedicated server and i am willing to test any configuration to bring on maximum performance

ionCube not loading

I then tried making the updates to the php.ini file but do not think I can restart the server (shared on GoDaddy) to make the changes take effect.

For fun, I went ahead and tried to install without ionCube loaded and got this.

Configuring Catchalls - Problem with php imap

I'm running LFE on a Centos VPS. I installed imap support using 'yum install php-imap'. I can verify that the imap_open function exists using this:

Regardless, the checkmail.php file fails on imap_open with no error messages. I'm using google apps, so before I go through the pain of recompiling PHP I thought I'd verify my configuration details. This is what the top of my checkmail file looks like:

$email_password = 'mypassword'; // password for that e-mail

This look OK? I tried setting email_username to not have the domain as well and still no joy. What am I missing?

"Blogs" Heading in LFE Interface

I assume the "Blogs" heading in the LFE interface is telling me how many blogs I have on a specific host. My "blogs" column was showing numbers until I deleted all my hosts. I deleted the hosts after reading in here somewhere that I need to do this from time to time to keep my hosts in sync with the remote depository.

After deleting my hosts and then reloading them from the remote repository the "blogs" column no longer shows any numbers - does this mean that I have lost that information?

I'm using a .txt file with thousands of blog titles so there shouldn't be a shortage of choosing another title if one has been already used before.

Please add an option to send a notification email when a process has completed (blogs have been created etc).

That will help us be more productive and set up a new process as soon as the last one has finished (at least until scheduling is not available). Right now there's no way to know when exactly the process completes on the server but guestimate.

but when check physically, the registration page is there and I can create new blog manually. Anyone encounter this problem before ? how do you resolve it ?

Hello,

i have registerd a domain. After that i have setuped an account with Google Apps Enterprise Standard.

E-Mail is Active.

I have created a catch all mail adress and activated pop in this catchall email.

I configured checkmail.php

When i click on checkmail, type in an email adress an click on check mail the table 'mail' will be created. But when i reload the page for RSS feed the script is not showing anything ...

What is wrong? Are this googlemail settings right?

Custom hook idea: auto-link

I would love to be able to do the following:

1. Input a list of keywords and corresponding URLs.
2. Grab content from RSS feeds, associated content, flickr, etc. (via template)
3. If the content contains any of the keywords inputted earlier, link the keyword to their corresponding URL.
4. Publish.

Can this be done? Can anybody offer a hook for this? Thanks!

I used to be able to only get a combined total of about 5-7 threads even when using multiple browsers without getting time outs.

Right now I've got 2 browsers running 13 threads each and no errors, much nicer.
