Thanks to rpolc for posting this tip here…
- Go to Google and search for “This user has either cancelled their membership” “or their acccount has been deleted” site:myspace.com or click here
- Click on the repeat the search with the omitted results included button.
- You will see a lot of listings similar to www.myspace.com/SomeRandomNick
- Check the PR - You can find easily some high PR invalid profiles
- Sign up for a MySpace account, and then customize your MySpace URL with SomeRandomNick
- Now www.myspace.com/SomeRandomNick belongs to you!
You can easily get dozens of profiles with PR by doing this
Thats one of my favorite little techniques I use on a daily basis!
This is query realy clear - or-their-acccount-has-been-deleted “This user has either cancelled their membership ” -”index.cfm” site:myspace.com
http://www.google.com/search?q=+or-their-acccount-has-been-deleted+%22This+user+has+either+cancelled+their+membership+%22+-%22index.cfm%22+site:myspace.com&num=100&hl=en&lr=&as_qdr=all&filter=0
Sorry for the ignorant question but what is a PR?
PageRank
And what can be done with these accounts?
This is interesting but…
I found several PR5 urls, tried to use them as MySpace URL and always got the error:
This username is not available! (This username has been taken by another user).
What is the secret?
Im having the same problem as momesso. Is there a way to get around it?
The only way around that Dave is to register the username before someone else does.
Is there a script that I can use to send requests for friends?
I really want to get lots of friends on a PR3 account
Any Ideas?
Damned, I can’t register on myspace … I tried like 8 times.
Nice post, thanks !
For Abdul, you can use “MySpace Friend Blaster” or “Adder badder” which allow you to send massive requests and comments.
My turn to ask a question : is there a trick to go deeper in google’s results than SeoCoder’s link…which was already going deeper thant the first one..lol..?
Seeing about 300000 results in G and viewing “only” 1000 of them is “frustrating”
I believe you would sign up with whatever nickname you want, then you go in and define your URL later. I don’t think the nickname and URL have to match. I haven’t checked this, just guessed at it after reading the comments.
How about: Hi I need a lot of friends on my MySpace account. Will you please let me add you? Thanks.
Sorry Jay for being so rude, its just that I was so excited about it.
Great tip, btw your blog is currently on the 1st pos. on Google for:
“or their acccount has been deleted”
I tried this out. It’s alot more work then what you get in return unless you find some really high ranked page.
good tip mate! found an easy pr2 link to help one of my new domains within about 10 minutes! sheer class. by the way, how can people be using this forum and ask what pr is? how on earth did people like that find this site?
i have just found out that myspace now uses a 302 redirect all links through something like msplinks (owned by myspace) so they have effectively rendered this techniqe useless
anyone able to offer any advice on this?
thanks
Bit late on this? Paul is right - all externals are redirected through msplinks.com and don’t pass link value anymore..
Thank you for this article. I will let others know about this site so then can learn as well
